The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation
Three words, one voice: distilling organizational purpose and developing communication guidelines for Joe Torre’s foundation
Founded by legendary baseball player Joe Torre and his wife Ali, the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation has helped empower children and families affected by trauma and domestic violence since 2002. Our team at The Nucleus Group was tasked to refine the organization’s positioning and communications as they geared up for greater impact and scale.
I captured Safe At Home’s purpose and differentiating power in three words: safer, braver, together. Through embracing the shared responsibility of care and respect, communities of changemakers can pave the way for a new generation of healthy relationships, without trauma or violence. To guide the organization in communicating this new positioning, I crafted a manifesto that captured their origin story, and spearheaded the development of a brand language playbook we called the One Voice Toolkit.
